Schau mir in die Augen...

Hier eine Kleine Übersicht von ein paar Tobi-Einzelteilen, die nur darauf warten zusammen gebastelt zu werden. Von seinen Augen bin ich total begeistert. Mein Mann hat sie aus Resin gegossen und das hat er wirklich toll gemacht!

Im Moment arbeite ich immer noch an dem Design-Auftrag, also muss Tobi leider noch etwas warten... 

Here is a little overview of all the single parts of Tobi, which are ready to be put together. His eyes are my favourites. My husband made them out of resin and I have to say he did a really great job!

Currently I'm working on another comission, so Tobi has to wait a little longer...

Cuddle Test

Tobi's neues Fell ist wirklich schön weich, aber ich möchte einige Tests damit machen, um zu sehen ob es auch zum spielen geeignet ist.Tobi liebt es wenn er umarmt und geknuddelt wird und natürlich, wenn man mit ihm spielt. Es wäre also toll, wenn er so viele Kinder wie möglich auf ihren täglichen Abenteuern begleiten kann. Daher sollte sein Fell recht resistent sein...


Sein Fell besteht aus 75% Acryl und 25% Modacryl. Soweit ich gelesen habe sind Modacrylfasern für Allergiker geeignet, schwer entflammbar und verbrennen nicht. Das kommt ganz gelegen, aber trotzdem sollte Tobi nicht mit Feuer spielen.

Was ich auch noch testen möchte, ist, wie sich das Fell in der Waschmaschine und im Wäschetrockner reagiert. Am besten mache ich diese Tests auch gleich mit Tobi's Augen. Alle Ergebnisse werden natürlich hier mit euch geteilt.


Was ich auf jeden Fall schon mal garantieren kann: Tobi ist absolut kuschel-und knuddelfest und obwohl sein Fell ein bisschen aussieht, wie das einer Katze, ist es auch für Menschen mit Katzenhaar-Allergie absolut sicher, ihn so richtig fest zu knuddeln und lieb zu haben!


 Tobi's new fur is really nice and soft, but I wanna do some tests with it to see if it's play-proof. Tobi loves to be huged and played with, so it would be great to get him out there to join as many kids as possible on their daily adventures. Therefore his fur should be quite resistant...

His fur is made of 75% acrylic and 25% modacrylic. As far as I read modacrylics are nonallergic, are flame retardant and do not combust. That comes along quite handy, but you shouldn't let Tobi get to close to fire anyways.
I still wanna test how the fur reacts when washed in a washing mashine and if it's possible to dry it with a tumble dryer. I might also do the same test with Tobi's eyes and share all results here with you.

But for now I can definitely guarantee that Tobi is absolutely cuddle- and hug-proof and even though his fur looks a bit like a cat's fur, it is also safe for people that suffer from a cat hair allergy, to give him a huge squeezy hug!

Home sweet Home

"Juhu, nach fast vier langen Wochen in unserer Umzugskiste, sind wir endlich in unserem neuen Zuhause angekommen!"

"After almost four long weeks inside a box we arrived at our new place. Yeah!"

Letzte Woche sind wir in unserem neuen Heim in Deutschland angekommen. Der Umzug war ganz ok, aber es gibt auch noch viel zu tun, denn ein paar der Räume waren leider noch nicht komplett fertig. Das traf uns etwas unerwartet, aber ich glaube wir haben bis jetzt alles ganz gut hingekriegt.
Ich habe auch angefangen an einem neuen Auftrag zu arbeiten... das ist zwar super toll, aber ich denke, da muss die Nähmaschine noch eine Weile eingepackt bleiben. Kann's schon nicht mehr erwarten!

Last week we arrived at our new flat, back in Germany. The move went ok, but there is still loads to do, as some of the rooms were not completely finished. It was a bit unexpected, but we managed everything so far. 
I also started working on a new comission... So I guess it will take another couple of days until my sewing mashine is out of the box and ready to go. Can't wait!
